So here’s the story. I was intending to Rent the Runway for the Ebates holiday party at the posh W Hotel in San Francisco. I picked this amyahhzing Badgley Mischka gown.
THEN. This absolutely stunning Monif C Charlene romper came back into stock, precisely ONE of them in MY SIZE. I missed out on it once, I would not be burned again. So even though I had a look on lock for the party, I would find an occasion (like let’s say…a Wednesday) to rock that romper.
As you know with holiday shipping, things get complicated. My gorgeous Rent the Runway dress was delayed by two days. By the day of the party at 11 am, it had not yet arrived. So I called the good people at RTRW, they intercepted the package and issued me a full refund even though I used a store credit to rent the dress. It took a little coaxing, but ultimately they did the right thing and it was much appreciated.
So that just left me and Charlene. While I was still pretty bummed about not being able to go all Old Hollywood (I even had a hair appointment to get some fingerwaves!), I think this totally last-minute look turned out for the best. A change of hair and shoes really pulled it together.
And that BaubleBar necklace OMG I’m in love. This was my first purchase with them and I will totes be back. Unfortunately, both the romper and necklace are sold out but yay look at me apparently having a good sense of what the people love. As nice as it is to be unique, it’s kind of cool to know you’re on trend as well.
